Social Classes, Labor Unions, and Conflict in Times of Crisis: A Comparative Study of Argentina and Chile. Fondecyt Project 1230056. Role: Principal Investigator

This project examines perceptions of labor and political conflict in Argentina and Chile. It analyzes how individuals from different social classes and union statuses perceive conflict inside and outside the workplace, drawing on a representative survey of the employed population in both countries (CONCLAT survey). The project contributes to international research on social class, work, and conflict by generating original quantitative data and a cross-nationally comparable research instrument.

Millennium Nucleus on Labor Policy and Family and Collective Life (LABOFAM, NCS2024_019). Role: Director

This project examines the potential effects of recent labor policies implemented in Chile to promote work–family balance, including legislation facilitating telework and reducing weekly working hours. Using a multi-method approach and a unique longitudinal research design that combines quantitative and qualitative data, the project analyzes the extent to which these policies generate changes across three key dimensions of workers’ lives: labor relations, family life, and political participation beyond the workplace.
